Check-In #2 - Non-Mandatory
Hello everyone, sorry for running late! Here is the second check-in for DCU Bang 2020! This check-in is NOT mandatory, but it's a good idea to take a look at the check-in survey, to see how the rest of the mandatory check-ins will be handled.
The check-in survey is for author’s only, but there is some fanworker information below, so please be sure to check that out! The survey is to track story progress, but don’t stress out! Even if you haven’t started yet, please still fill out the survey.
The most important thing when filling out the survey is make sure you use the same email address that was used in your sign-up, so that I can check you off. If you do not remember which email you used to sign-up, a copy of the Google Survey should have been sent to you when you signed up. If you still cannot find it, please contact me and I will check on my end!
Check-In #2 Survey
Fanworker sign-ups are still open until July 18th!
Rough Draft Submission for Traditional Authors
Rough drafts submission period is now open, from July 1st through July 8th. The deadline to submit a rough draft will be July 8th, at 23:59 MDT. If you’re ready to submit your work please feel free to submit now and if you’re still writing, no worries, you’ve still got a few days!
Summaries will be posted for preview on Friday, July 10th. Please look your summary over when it is posted for preview to check for any errors and contact me ASAP to make corrections. Author information will be removed as claims are done blind. It’s okay if you’ve talked about your project already, just refrain from telling people which number your summary is once it is live!
Please make sure to read all of the information in the following post, as it contains the story requirements for submitting, how to submit your work, and the consequences of dropping out after August 1st if you submit your story to be claimed!
2020 Rough Draft Submission Guidelines
It’s important to write your summary to catch the attention of a fanworker, so here are some summary writing tips! This does not have to be the summary used when you post your work in October/November and you do not have to include all warnings and tags. The only warnings required for rough draft submission are: noncon, dubcon, excessive or graphic violence, underage sex, incest, character death, and anything else you feel might be problematic for a reader. Don’t worry about listing everything, however, just stick to the big warnings.
Fanworker and Story Claiming Info
Summary previews will be up on Friday, July 10th, so that fanworkers can check out which story or stories they would like to claim. Claiming will open Saturday, July 11th at Noon MDT. If you are not signed up yet as a fanworker and want to be on the emailing list when stories go live for claiming, you can sign up right here!
To get a better idea of how claiming will work, here is last year’s claiming instructions and summaries. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, I’m here to help!
If you have any questions, concerns, here is the Page-A-Mod Post You can also contact the mods via, dcubang@gmail.com, or by sending a PM on DreamWidth/LiveJournal to

Twitter and Tumblr are NOT the quickest way to get in touch with me, as those accounts are not checked as frequently. If your matter is urgent, Discord or email are the quickest way to receive a response!
