dcu_bang | DCU Bang 2019 Announcements

Hello everyone! Here is the plan for this year’s DCU Bang! There are going to be some pretty big changes, namely a shorter writing period, so that the Bang ends by the end of October. Last year I realized that the posting period ran into some commitments I need to take care of in November, so I have adjusted things so that I can give you guys the best experience I can and be as present as possible!

To help ease the flow of things,

There are also going to be a lot of guideline changes, which I will have posted before sign-ups open on the 10th! Things are also going to largely run through Archive of Our Own this year, so if you do not have an account yet, please get one! I have some invite codes that I will hand out for emergencies only. It can sometimes take a week to get an Ao3 invite through their queue, the so the sooner you request, the sooner you get in!

At this time, I am not requiring artists/fanworkers to post on Ao3, but their authors will need to link to the accompanying fanworks in their story in someway. The plan is to have works posted to the DCU Bang Ao3 collection, and then I will do weekly roundups of the posted works on the DW/LJ comms and more details about this will come when I have finalized things.

I’m also in the process of adding a DCU Bang Twitter, so bear with me while I get that set up (and figure out how to use Twitter. xD) Due to Tumblr banning NSFW content, I am unsure what to do at this time in regards to that, but for the time being, announcements will still be on the Tumblr account. For those of you that draw NSFW works, I hope you have found a new platform to use!

I really appreciate all the feedback I received after the last Bang, and it has really helped me to know what direction to go!
