Hello everyone! I apologize for running behind on opening the collection. The DCU Bang 2020 Collection is now open! The due date will be extended to November 1st to account for my lateness.

The 2020 Posting Guidelines can be found right here!

I will be checking over the date claims and mandatory check-in and reach out to anyone that hasn’t checked in and claimed a date or contacted me! It’s not too late to check-in or claim a reveal date! Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns or need to post during the Amnesty Period, no amnesty requests will be denied.

If your author or artist partner is not responding to you, please contact LuciferxDamien in private immediately, either via Discord or by emailing dcubang@gmail.com.

The due date for all works is now through November 1st. Works posted during this timeframe will be hidden and revealed on the reveal date that has been chosen from the Reveal Date Form. If you do not post to the collection by the 31st of October, a reminder email will be sent out. If you cannot post by November 1st, but still wish to finish the Bang, the Amnesty Posting Period is November 22-30. Please contact me to let me know you need the Amnesty Posting Period!

Works are set to reveal at about 5PM MST daily. It may be later some days, but works will not reveal before 5PM MST daily.

If your work is not in the collection by November 1st, you will need to wait until the Amnesty Posting Period. Any participant that has not posted by November 30th will be considered as dropped out or incomplete. Depending on the circumstances, this can lead to a 1-round ban, meaning you will not be able to participate in DCU Bang 2021. Bans will be issued on a case-by-case basis.

If you do not have an Ao3 already, please get in queue ASAP for an Ao3 account and start familiarizing yourself with the site! I’ve got some invites, but I only want to hand those out closer to posting time.

If you have any questions, concerns, here is the Page-A-Mod Post You can also contact the mods via, dcubang@gmail.com, or by sending a PM on DreamWidth/LiveJournal to [personal profile] luciferxdamien, or sending a DM on Discord to LuciferxDamien.

Twitter and Tumblr are NOT the quickest way to get in touch with me, as those accounts are not checked as frequently. If your matter is urgent, Discord or email are the quickest way to receive a response!

Hello everyone! Here is the posting guide for this year!

If you still haven’t claimed a date, please make sure to do so right here: Reveals Date Claiming Form

If you need to change your reveal date, please contact me ASAP! For example, if you selected November 5th and want to be moved to a later date, such November10th, please send me an email, dcubang@gmail.com, or a message on Discord and I can get that changed for you, no problem!

If you do not have an Ao3 already, please contact me ASAP!!! I have some invites, so if you need an account, please let me know so you can get one right away! Send a DM to LuciferxDamien on Discord, or an email to dcubang@gmail.com.

Artists/fanworkers do not need to post to Ao3 this year, but all stories must be posted to Ao3. Artist/fanworkers can post on Ao3, LiveJournal, DreamWidth, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. so long as the fanwork is publicly viewable and is linked in the story somewhere, either via embedding, or a simple link in the Author Notes!

Here is this year’s Ao3 Collection:
DCU Bang 2020 Ao3 Collection.

Ao3 Bugs/Glitches: Chances are, some of you might come across an AO3 bug or glitch while posting. There are some known issues with revealing works in a collection marked as unrevealed. Gift email notifications may not go out, as well as emails to subscribers that you’ve posted a new work. There’s nothing I can do about this, it’s an Ao3 bug. At the end of the DCU Bang, the collection will be set to “Revealed” which might trigger all of the emails to go out then.

Hello everyone!

This is the DCU Bang 2018 posting guidelines! As stated in the Guidelines, you're free to post your fic wherever you want! Ao3, Tumblr, your LiveJournal or DreamWidth, Fanfiction.net, a personal website, ect. just so long as all parts are publically viewable!

All stories will be posted to both the DreamWidth and the LiveJournal DCU Bang communities. If you do not have an account at one of both of these sites, there are instructions further down on what to do.

Remember to be in contact with your author and artist partners and discuss when the best date to post will be for everyone!

Please be aware that all stories must be posted in their entirety on your posting date. Multiple chapters are fine; if you have a 16 chapter fic and your posting date is October 26th, all 16 chapters must be posted on October 26th.

Date claiming is right here. (This will not be opened for comments until Monday, October 1st at 12PM (Noon) MDT.)

One person from your author/artist group needs to post the story and art links to the DCU Bang community and it can be either the author or the artist. It does not need to be the author that filled out the sign-up form in the case of co-authors. You can even have a friend do it for you, if they use DreamWidth and/or LiveJournal and you do not! Just make sure that they join the community, so that they can post and that the form is filled out correctly. =D

On your posting date, when the story and art are online and ready to go, whichever person has decided to post to the DreamWidth and/or LiveJournal communities will gather the links and post them, using the post form below with HTML, to DCU Bang on DreamWidth or DCU Bang on LiveJournal or both! (If you can post on both the LiveJournal and DreamWidth comms yourself, that is a big help to me! If not, I can post to either or both communities for you! Just email me the filled out form with all links included. More instructions for this are further down.)

Author and fanworkers, be in contact with each other about coordinating your posts as best as you can, but I don't expect for everyone to post all at the same time! All related posts should link to each other, i.e. the main story post should link to the art, and the art post should link back to the story. All posts should also link back to at least one DCU Bang community (your choice of either the LJ, DW, Tumblr, Ao3 collection, or all if you want!) so people seeing your works can find other works being posted, too! Share the love!

Works will not be automatically crossposted or reblogged to the DCU Bang Tumblr. If you want for your work to appear on the DCU Bang Tumblr account, there is a spot in the form to include a Tumblr link for me to quickly click and reblog for you. Please have art containing NSFW material under a cut or read more with a SFW thumbnail. All stories should be under a cut!

We have an Ao3 collection! The DCU Bang parent collection has the all of the previous years of the DCU Bang, if you want to check them out. DCU Bang Parent Collection. And here is the 2018 subcollection that is open to anyone who wants to submit their work for 2018! DCU Bang 2018 Subcollection.

After November ends, I will be compiling a masterlist of links to post to both the DreamWidth and LiveJournal communities and to the DCU Bang Tumblr. If for any reason you do not want your story or art to be listed on the DCU Bang 2018 Tumblr Masterlist, just let me know! All stories and art will be listed in the DreamWidth and LiveJournal versions of the DCU Bang 2018 Masterlist.

Posting via Email:

If you do not have an account at either LiveJournal or DreamWidth, email me at dcubang@gmail.com with the filled out form, including HTML. Let me know if you need your story posted to the LiveJournal or DreamWidth communities, or both! I will then post your story for you on your posting date.

Please be aware I will be away much of Thursday, October 18th through Sunday, October 21st. If one of these dates are the only ones that work for you and you will need me to post or crosspost for you, this is okay! Pick a date that works best for you. Just post your work and send me the filled out posting form and I will try to get them posted on those dates, and if not, they will be posted Monday, October 22nd for sure.

Posting Forms:

Authors:

Please be sure to use the entire form, and include the HTML, especially if you are emailing this to me. If anyone needs help with HTML, get in contact with me and I’ll do my best. The Tumblr reblog link space is optional, put “N/A” or “none” if you do not wish have a Tumblr or do not wish for the DCU Bang Tumblr account to reblog your post.

Make sure to include all authors (and beta readers) if you are cowriting, and you can use this space to either just list your username(s), or you can link to your journal/tumblr/website/etc. If your story does not have a pairing, list the main characters. Your summary can be as long or short as you want, but the idea is to make your story interesting without giving away too much! Keep the language for the summary to a PG-13 level or less.

For ratings, use an MPAA rating (G, PG, PG13, R, and NC-17). For warnings, please warn if your story contains rape/noncon/dubcon, underage sex, or major character death, however, if you feel this would give away too much of your story, you can put “author chooses not to warn” in this space, and if there is nothing to warn for, put “none”.

Fanworkers:

For each fanworker you are working with, fill out the form separately. If you are working with 3 artists, make sure they each get their own form! As with authors, you can just list the fanworker’s name, or you can link to their journal/tumblr/website/etc. For ratings, use an MPAA rating (G, PG, PG13, R, and NC-17). Warnings need to be used for fanworks that contain graphic violence (blood, gore, disturbing imagery, death), sex, underage, noncon situations and anything else that could be problematic; fanworkers must use warnings.

Solo authors do not need to include the fanworker information.

I’m really looking forward to everyone’s works!!! As always, if you need help with anything, please let me know! I'm here to help! You can reach me at the Page-A-Mod Post, PMing me, sending an email to dcubang@gmail.com, or by DMing or @ing me on Discord!
