5k Mini-Bang Author Sign-Ups Now Closed!

And that’s it! The author sign-ups for the DCU Bang are now closed. Artist sign-ups will remain open until September 1st. We can always use more artists, so feel free to spread the word around! If there is some place you might think is good for me to advertise, don’t hesitate to let me know. =D

Artist Sign-Up Post

All welcome emails, for both artists and authors that have submitted a sign-up by today, have been sent out. If you have not received this email, let me know ASAP! I need to have a valid and working email for everyone.

The August 1st check-in is not mandatory, but there will be a lot of information on how to handle submitting rough drafts, and what to do in regards to switching to solo track, dropping down to the 5k Mini-Bang if the 10k Traditional isn’t working out, and dropping out all together, if that is necessary for you, so please check it out!


Here is the current schedule:

10 May: Sign-ups open (Authors and accompanying fanworkers)
15 June: Author sign-ups close for 10k Traditional Big Bang (Artist/5k Mini-Bang sign-ups still open!!!)
1 July: Author check-in
15 July: Author sign-ups close for 5k Mini-Bang (Artist sign-ups still open!!!)
1 August: Second Author check-in
21 August: Author rough drafts due (At least 80% complete)
24 August: Fic summaries go up for fanworkers to peruse
25 August noon (Mountain time): Claiming opens
26 August 3PM (Mountain time): Second claims open
1 September: Claims close; no more fanworker signups
1 October: Mandatory check-in for authors and artists; posting sign-ups open
15 October: Posting begins
18 November: Posting ends
